1. Scope
These terms apply to every order placed on shopmuzzly.com with Muzzly, a business based in Quebec (Canada). Placing an order means you accept the terms in force on the date of the order.
2. Personalized products
Muzzly creates pet portraits from the photo provided by the customer, in the chosen style (watercolor, line art, pop art or natural photo), printed on the product ordered (mug, canvas, poster, pillow, t-shirt, sweatshirt, tote bag). The preview shown on the website is for guidance only: the final result depends on the photo, and colors may vary slightly depending on the screen and the printed material.
3. The customer’s photo
The customer confirms that they hold the rights to the photo sent and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Muzzly may refuse a photo that is unlawful, offensive or of insufficient quality; the customer is then contacted to send another photo or receive a refund. The photo is used only to fulfil the order and is never used for advertising without the customer’s written consent.
4. Preview and approval
After the order, we email a preview of the portrait within 48 business hours. Nothing is printed without the customer’s approval: they approve the preview by replying “OK” or ask for adjustments (framing, name, style), which are free within reason. If the customer does not reply within 7 days of the preview being sent, and after a reminder, the preview is considered approved so the order is not delayed.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Shipping costs are shown before payment. Payment is due when the order is placed and is processed securely by Shopify; Muzzly never has access to your full card details.
6. Cancellation
The customer may cancel the order free of charge and receive a full refund as long as they have not approved the preview. Once the preview is approved, the product is made specifically for them and the order can no longer be cancelled.
7. Right of withdrawal
Muzzly products are made to the customer’s specifications and clearly personalized. For consumers living in the European Union, the right of withdrawal therefore does not apply (article L221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code). This exception does not remove any of the guarantees below.

9. Damaged or defective products, guarantees
A damaged, defective or non-conforming product is reprinted or refunded at no cost, under our refund policy. The customer also benefits from the legal guarantees that apply in their country of residence, including, in France, the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code), and, in Quebec, the warranties provided by the Consumer Protection Act.
10. Personal data
Photos and data provided are handled in line with our privacy policy. Photos are shared with our print partner only to make the product and are kept for up to 12 months after delivery, for after-sales service, then deleted. The customer may ask for earlier deletion by writing to contact@shopmuzzly.com.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence. If anything goes wrong, please contact us first: we always look for an amicable solution.

Appendix: website terms of use
1. The website
The website shopmuzzly.com is operated by Muzzly (Quebec, Canada). By using it, you accept these terms.
2. Previews on the website
When you try a style with your pet’s photo on a product page, the preview is computed directly in your browser. The photo is only sent to Muzzly if you place an order.
3. Content you send
You agree to send only photos you hold the rights to and that are neither unlawful nor offensive. You keep ownership of your photos and only grant us the right to use them to fulfil your order.
4. Intellectual property
The texts, images, logos and code of the website belong to Muzzly or its partners and may not be copied or reused without permission.
5. Accuracy of information
We do our best to keep the information on the website (prices, descriptions, availability) accurate. In case of an obvious error, we will contact you before processing the order.
6. Liability
The website is provided as is. Muzzly cannot be held liable for a temporary interruption of the website or for indirect damage related to its use, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Changes
We may change these terms; the version in force is the one published on this page.
